“Meister-sucht-Professor-Preis 2013” (Master – seeks -Professor Prize 2013)

The “Technology Transfer Prize for Crafts + Science”, which is awarded nationwide under the name Professor Adalbert Seifriz Prize, was presented to Heinz Soyer Bolzenschweißtechnik GmbH in Stuttgart’s Haus der Wirtschaft on 27 September 2013. Under the motto “Master seeks Professor”, this prize promotes the technological exchange between the skilled crafts and science.

This prestigious award recognises the successful cooperation between master electrician Heinz Soyer Jr. and professors Heidi Cramer from the Schweißtechnische Lehr-und Versuchsanstalt Munich and Jochen Schein from the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich in the further development of innovative stud welding in the radially symmetrical magnetic field (SRM).

This new process offers high technical and economic advantages and enables large-diameter studs to be welded easily and in a matter of seconds without any additional aids.
