Bavarian State Prize 2019

Oliver Pohlus with the LSK-1 from Soyer

At the 2019 international trade fair (IHM) in Munich, Heinz Soyer Bolzenschweißtechnik GmbH received the coveted Bavarian State Prize for excellent trade performance.

On Sunday, March 17th 2019, the prize was presented during an official ceremony at the Munich Trade Fair Centre by Roland Weigert, State Secretary in the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy.

The award went to the automatic LSK-1 stud welding head with wear-free linear motor exhibited at the trade fair. This technical innovation, developed and manufactured by Soyer themselves, enables users for the first time to use just one single welding head for all known stud welding processes. The LSK-1 universal welding head complies with all requirements for the application of Industry 4.0 and provides full network possibilities in the industrial production process. All process-relevant functions are digitally monitored which ensures a smooth and very efficient production flow.

This is the fifth time since 1988 that the family-owned company from Wörthsee has received the Bavarian State Prize for special technical achievements in the skilled trades.
